A Summer sale collection

With all the bad, rainy weather we have been experiencing here in the UK, it doesn't really feel like summer.

But the sunny season is just around the corner and because of this, the summer wardrobe is getting ready to be worn once more.

The sales are now on in stores across the high street and girls, you can definitely find a bargain for your closet.

Here are some of the items I picked up at a great price in the Summer Sales!

Did you say cupcakes in a mug?!

I for one absolutely love baking/cooking. I love following basic recipes and putting my own twist on them, whether it is adding or changing the ingredients.

So when I came across this recipe book "Mug Cakes" by Mima Sinclair, I couldn't resist buying it.
They literally are cupcakes!

And that's not all. Want to know the best thing about these recipes... You don't even need an oven to cook them. No. Instead, you cook them in a microwave. How good!!!

So here is everything you need to make these delicious treats.
Note: All recipes shown are from this book, photographs are mine.

Happy 1st birthday The Adventures of Caroline, a year on

A year ago on the 17th June, I decided to create this blog. A lot has changed in the past year and it has been a huge eye opener for me personally.

From passing my foundation degree at uni to losing weight and me realising a few things, this blog has helped me achieve that so this post will show you some of my favourite things that have happened over the past 12 months.

Let us take a journey in the past...

Chop, chop

You may be thinking "Caroline, why are writing a post about your haircut and why does that make you have a realisation?" A good question. And there is a simple answer to explain.

I haven't had a haircut since last year (I know, I know, that's very bad) and yesterday (16th June) I had one and a little something came with it.

Let me explain...

From Loft to Loved White and Pink Bureau

This year I am turning 21 (oh god) and my lovely mother said I could have a bureau for my birthday present. Since I want to become a journalist, a bureau will help me out massively. From the huge writing space most have to offer to the storage space, it would be perfect for all my bits n bobs.

And guess what? I have found the perfect bureau for me. (Yes, it is 5 months until my birthday but you have to grab it whilst its there)

So here is my White and Pink bureau bought from "From Loft to Loved"!

1 top, 3 outfits

Spring is almost over for another year and summer is just around the corner.

Switching your winter wardrobe full of comfy jumpers and dark clothing to your bright Spring/Summer closet can be hard. You don't know what to buy, if you can wear clothing items you already have (answer is you can) and most importantly, you want to feel comfortable without breaking your bank balance.

Due to all of these reasons, why not switch it up a little and wear the same item of clothing (in this post it will be this lovely detailed £8 top from Primark) and just change what you wear with it. By doing this, you don't only save on spending money on multiple outfits and you can enjoy what you already have.

So here is my "1 Top, 3 Outfits| Summer Fashion" post...

A sunny vintage fair

Lottie and Jack Events hosted a vintage fair in Yarm near where I live today so of course I went down to step back in time. This time I went with two friends who again, like quirky and vintage things so it was perfect for all of us.

My own photo, I have edited it.
I have done a previous post about a vintage fair that they hosted earlier on in the year and if that was anything to go by then I knew it would be a great, fun day out.

From antiques, handmade soap, cakes and biscuits stalls to clothing and accessories, there was plenty of pretty, vintage items to glance upon.

Here is my review on Lottie and Jack's Yarm Vintage Fair from today...

The Adventure to... York!

So yesterday, me and my lovely mother took a day trip to the historic city of York.

Now, we absolutely adore this place, we travel as much as we can to it. York has cute, quirky shops, Betty's Tea Room CafĂ© and Cath Kidston (I love this shop so much).

Here is our little adventure to York!
Note: this post will be picture heavy. They are ALL my own photographs used.

Going veggie mad for this restaurant

Today, my lovely dad and I went to my favourite vegetarian restaurant, The Waiting Room, to celebrate me finishing my Foundation Degree.

I absolutely adore this place. From the yummy food to the quirky interior and to the lovely waitresses so I thought why not write a review about it?

So here is my lovely time at The Waiting Room...
Note: I am not a food critic, these are my own views and own photographs. I have not been paid to write this review.
