What I bought in London

When you hit the UK's capital city of London, you normally go for two things: sight seeing and shopping. Well I do anyway!

Over the four days I was there, I bought a few clothing items. Now, this isn't to flaunt the things I bought, most of them were from Primark so were cheap for what they are anyway and the others were all in the sale. It is to show you my love for them.

Homemade sweet potato fries

Now if there is one food in life that I just cannot get enough of, it will always be sweet potato. Sweet potato mash. Sweet potato jacket potato. Sweet potato Sheppard's pie. You get the gist. But the main thing a sweet potato can give you is fries. Delicious, crispy fries.

For this month's bake, I will be showing you how to make these sweet potato fries by Jamie Oliver and by the time you have read this post and who knows, made them for yourselves, you will probably be sick and tired of reading the words sweet potato but I ensure you, the pain is worth every minute of it *drools*

My weird hobby

In case you didn't know already or even guessed, I am weird. Yes, I know, shock horror! And since I am, of course I have a weird hobby as well.

Now, any other 21 year old girl may have a hobby in dancing, collecting makeup (although, I am a self confessed lipstick addict) or actually socialising but no, you can keep your beauty products and your dance shoes because I am a coin collector. Yep, you read that right! So much so that I literally have everyone looking in their purses to see if they have any cool coins I can have (obviously giving the money back to them with an ordinary coin).

I started in 2012 when the London 2012 Olympic Games launched a 50p coin franchise to celebrate the major sporting event but I started getting into it last year and well, as I have a few of them, I haven't looked back since.
Because of this, I thought I would share my collection so far with you all as I am quite proud of how many I have collected.

A memory frame

July's 'Bake and Make' now and this post will show you how to make a cute little memory frame, perfect as a gift or for yourself.

This is great if you want to display any photographs, jewellery or special bits n bobs that you have. The frame can be used as a pin board for any reminders you need, a seating plan if you have a special event coming up (like a wedding for example) or you can actually just leave it and not put anything on it. I mean, the list is really endless.

And to make it even more appealing, it is so easy to do.

So here is 'A memory frame'...

After three years, god knows how many assignments, millions of words typed and a lot of tears, I did it. I kicked university in the bottom and graduated yesterday!

In January this year, I had a graduation for my foundation degree and yesterday's one was for my BA (Hons) Journalism and New Practice degree that I have studied for the past year and I could not be happier.
I thought I would share this wonderful day, filled with hat throwing and a lot of hugs and smiles, so here are some photographs of the special event and some of the afternoon tea I had at Wynyard Hall to celebrate with my mum and nanna.

A London Adventure (Part Three)

We have had the first two posts in my London adventure series (read part one and part two here) and so it is that time again, a fashion post!

Fashion of London
There will be five outfits here (an extra because I went to the theatre) and I will include the makeup I wore as well! Don't worry, this will be a short post for you!

A London Adventure (Part Two)

Second part of my London adventure today and it is on the last two days!
London's calling!
Form more shopping and sight seeing to paying my respect to a MP who was murdered earlier this year, it was hard to say goodbye to this wonderful city, I love it so much!

A London Adventure (Part One)

On the 6th July, I went to London again with my mother and my nanna (even though we took her for her 'last' trip to the UK capital city last year) but she missed it so much, we went for four days and it was lovely.
A little taster of what's to come!
From sight seeing and shopping to going to the theatre, it was a fun filled visit to say the least so I thought I would do another what I did in London like I have done many times before... I practically live there with the amount of trips I have done in the past few years. Unlike before I will bullet point what we did and add some pictures of this wonderful city but it will be in three parts (third being a fashion a post)!
So here is 'A London Adventure'...

Until next time
All photographs are my own!

Girl's Holiday to Whitby

From the 27th to the 30th of June, four of my favourite people and I went on a little holiday to the seaside town of Whitby.

Now, all five of us absolutely love this place so a couple of months ago we booked ourselves a cute little house and thought 'why not'.

From day three, what a stunning view!

I miss it so much, it felt like it went so fast that I keep thinking we are going and haven't been yet.
Because of this, here are a select few photographs I took (there were just over 500, oops) and some bullet points of things we did during the best four days I have ever lived.

So here is 'Girl's Holiday to Whitby'...
