Game over

On Thursday 28th May, two friends and I went to the Game On 2.0 Convention at the Life Science Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne and then went to see the latest Marvel film, The Avenger: Age of Ultron.

Not going to lie but I don't play a lot of games. I mean I have a Nintendo DS and play like 3 games on it but yeah, not a big player.

However, I wanted to go as I was intrigued in what was going to be there and the fact that I haven't been the Life Centre before.

As for the film, I absolutely love the Avengers film series. From Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor, I am such a geek when it comes to these superheroes so was dead excited to see the latest instalment.

So here is our little adventure to the gaming and superhero world...

Alzheimer's Society No junk food Challenge: One week on

So it has been almost week since my friend and I decided to do the no junk food challenge for Dementia Awareness Week and I don't know about Jen, but I've found this week hard.

Not hard in the fact that I ate loads of junk food because I couldn't do it but in the fact that it has been a huge eye opener.

I made the overall image
Source for images used in picture:
Ice cream, chocolate, sweet, burger, chips, milkshake, cheese, cookie, popcorn, pizza

I wanted to do this challenge to test myself but to also raise money and awareness for Dementia, focusing on the Alzheimer's  Disease and the Alzheimer's Society.

However, it has shown me how reliant I was in ready meals and snacks to get my through my days.

Here is how...

Goodbye past, hello future

So two and half year ago, I decided to take my chances and apply for university. I chose to do a course focusing on Journalism as this has always interested me but, like many, was nervous in taking the steps to get an offer.

Having confidence issues and very little belief in myself of what I can achieve was always there in my mind as a reminder that I wasn't good enough to reach my goals in life and I admit it, it held me back.

The worse part was thinking that I was not good enough and I know that I wont be the only one who thinks this about themselves.

However, today was a massive, MASSIVE step forward in achieving my goals and my confidence back.

A girl can't have too many bags, right?

Over the past few years, I have been obsessed with many things.

From Merlin (BBC One TV show focused on the Arthurian Legend and Merlin), You Me At Six (British pop-punk band), iconic actress Audrey Hepburn and many, many more. But one thing I love is bags. Yes, bags.

My edited image
From clutches, handbags to over the shoulder and quirky, unique bags, I have about 30ish. It doesn't seem a lot but thinking I only used 5 a couple of years ago, it does.

What I look for the most in a bag is: space to fit all of the essentials in, an inside pocket, a thin, adjustable strap and the colour/pattern both inside and outside. I know, its weird to have a checklist but it comes in useful when you need a new bag to fit all of the things in.

So move over shoes as these are my top 10 bags that I absolutely adore.

I'm coming for you, Alzheimer's (Part Two)

So last year, I shared with you a post that was really personal to me about dementia, focusing on Alzheimer's Disease. (You can read the post here.)

In the post, I explained my experiences with the disease and how it effected me as I was only young and didn't know what was happening. In case you haven't read it, my Grandma Nancy tragically died of the disease in 2008 and I had no clue what was happening to her in her final years. She was not the same grandma I knew although I loved her and treasured her the same, even more if that iwa possible .

However, like stated in the other article, I am not writing this for sympathy or "I'm so sorry for your loss" because as much as I wish and want it to, it does not change anything.
I am writing part two because dementia as a whole NEEDS to be talked about much more then it does.

Due to the fact that this week is Dementia Awareness Week (17-23 May 2015), I am going to see if I can do something  and well, awareness is key to help fight this terrible disease.

1 top style, 5 summery colours, 5 different outfits

Walking around the high street store of Primark (yes, that shop again) and finding items for my spring/summer wardrobe, I stumbled across this £5 scalloped vest, which is brilliant value for money since it is so pretty.

I have wrote about this item both in a previous post (click here) and well, every time I go in there always seems to be another colour of it.
Originally, I bought the red, white and yellow versions but now they have bought out black and lilac. There is a pink one as well but I have not got round to purchasing that.

So I thought why not write a post showing you all of the five colours in different outfits...

Here is my '1 Style, 5 Colours, 5 Outfits'!

And the new Royal Princess is called.....

This is a short, quick post as an update to another post.

So a couple of days ago, the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to an adorable baby girl, who is a princess (living every girls dream).
Due to the fact they had NOT announced what they called their second child, I wrote a post on it (click here) for name I think would be lovely.

Here is the thing...

Today, 4th May 2015, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced her beautiful name: Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

I suggested these names on my blog....
Just call me Psychic Caroline from now on! HAHAHA!

Anyway, that's it! I thought I would share this!
Until next time x

Happy birthday to the one and only, Audrey Hepburn!

This post is one that will celebrate one of the worlds leading actresses, Audrey Hepburn (4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) because it is her 86th birthday!

Happy Birthday Audrey!

Hands down, she is and always will be my favourite actress, my idol, my inspiration, my love.

Audrey did so much for the world in her lifetime, in the entertainment industry and for those less fortunate than her.

So here is a blog post dedicated to this beautiful soul...

Congratulations Kate and Will, it's a girl!!!

After 9 long months and a week overdue, the news broke that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate) welcomed into the world their beautiful baby girl earlier today. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Watching the news coverage on the television, waiting with excitement to see them walk through the hospital doors with their second child was a long wait but worth it to see the new princess.

Their first child, Prince George, is almost two in July and now has a young sister. But now the question is what will she be called?

Well, here are my suggestions....
