Why Youtube isn't for me

As you may or may not know, I set up a Youtube channel to go into the world of vlogging last year. It lasted for all of two months but at least I can say I was a vlogger for two months in 2016, right?!

Seeing loads of other bloggers do it and watching sooooo many vloggers on the popular video streaming website, I was like 'I am going to give a go too'. I failed. I can safely say that Youtube is not for me and I am A-Okay with that fact!

Due to this, I have came up with this short post, it is basically just a list, of why video blogging just wasn't my cup of tea.

So here is 'Why Youtube isn't for me'...

  1. I hate my voice so much, ew no Caroline!
  2. The effort and the dedication to actually film it, edit it and then to publish it, I don't know how daily vloggers do it but honestly, hats off to them!
  3. Even though I got a first in my broadcast module for my degree (check me outttt), I much prefer to stay behind the camera for sure.
  4. Every time I went to edit some footage which went wrong, my laptop was seconds away from being thrown out the window.
  5. I much prefer to write instead of sitting down and talking or whatnot.
  6. Waffling should be me middle name, oopsy!
  7. Unfortunately, I don't have time, which is sad, but hey ho, that is life.
Well there you go, a little list of why Youtube wasn't for me as a blogger and maybe perhaps for you too!
Until next time

  1. These reasons are all of the ones that I have for not doing YouTube, I honestly feel like I'm bit of a boring person too, if I'm honest! Liked the post though, girlie!

    1. Don't be silly, you are not boring at all! You should just try it out and if you don't like it then that's fine, nothing wrong with that! x

    1. This is basically why it isn't for me, hate my voice and I didn't realise how much I waffled on until watching/editing my videos! x

  3. Thank you for this post, it's refreshing to read someone's honest opinion on why they don't enjoy being on YouTube.
To be honest I have also consider starting my own channel but, I'm not quite sure and it always seems like it's not the right time...
