My weird hobby

In case you didn't know already or even guessed, I am weird. Yes, I know, shock horror! And since I am, of course I have a weird hobby as well.

Now, any other 21 year old girl may have a hobby in dancing, collecting makeup (although, I am a self confessed lipstick addict) or actually socialising but no, you can keep your beauty products and your dance shoes because I am a coin collector. Yep, you read that right! So much so that I literally have everyone looking in their purses to see if they have any cool coins I can have (obviously giving the money back to them with an ordinary coin).

I started in 2012 when the London 2012 Olympic Games launched a 50p coin franchise to celebrate the major sporting event but I started getting into it last year and well, as I have a few of them, I haven't looked back since.
Because of this, I thought I would share my collection so far with you all as I am quite proud of how many I have collected.

So here is 'My weird hobby'...

Here is my full coin collection so far, I worked out I have £26 I think.

And now a close up of my beauties haha!
I will say what they are for and the year they have on the back/front and any information that is on the coin but I also researched on Royal Mint website.

  1. This is so cool, I always like checking out the different designs on coins but to see them all together looks really awesome! The only coin we have that's 'special' is one of those 20ps that didn't have a year on them and were put out in error, haha!
