It is the little things

Sometimes we often forget about the nice things in life due to busy work life. We forget the little things. The things that make us happy when we are feeling sad or in a crappy situation we don't want to be in.

When I am feeling horrible, I try to remember why I am here and the things that often escape my mind in times of doubt and self hatred so because of this, I have came up with this list so that they can (hopefully) add a little smile on your faces and remind you that there are things in life that make it all worth while.

Here are some of my favourite little things...

Raindrops hitting your window
Sweet potato fries
The moon and his stars
Adventures with friends
Time spent with family
A delicate pale pink rose blooming
Baking delicious treats
Garlic bread
A lovely walk in the park
Seeing your loved ones
A Sunday dinner
Colin Morgan
Peeling off a face mask without it breaking
Finding a matching pair of socks
Eating ice cream by the sea [or anywhere to be honest]
Watching an Audrey Hepburn film
Going to the cinema and getting a Tango Ice Blast
Taking off your bra after a long day
Dogs
A bunch of pretty flowers
Sweet potato fries with garlic mayo
Singing and dancing in your bedroom, pretending you are performing to thousands
A fresh duvet set on your bed
Anything with garlic in it
Sunrises and sunsets
A rainbow appearing in the sky
The first lay of snow
Baby animals
A nice lie in
Anything with sweet potatoes in it
Teacups and teapots
Cherry blossom appearing on the trees
The first sign of Autumn
The first sign of Spring
A nice bubble bath
Your favourite song coming on the radio

Well there you go, it is the little things in life that make it all worth while!
Until next time

  3. What a lovely idea for a post! It's certainly brightened up my day a little bit more and got me thinking about some of the little things I love in life. I love it when I'm walking to work in the morning and cute old couples or dog-walkers say 'morning' to me, and I'm a big fan of pretending I'm a Broadway singer in the car.
