You sit on a throne of lies
Todays Christmassy treat will be in the form of a film I absolutely love. Elf. If you didn't get the reference in the title then you definitely need to keep on reading!
This 2003 film is definitely one to watch every year. It is funny, sad and very festive so perfect for all of the family so I thought I would put in a little film review as a part of this blog post series.

Here is '25 Days of Christmas| Day Three'...
Starring: Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart, Ed Asner, and Zooey Deschanel.
Rating: 5 out of 5
A bit about the plot:
Buddy was raised in the North Pole by Santa's elves as a little baby to being a fully grown adult. He would help out in the workshop but couldn't hide the feeling of misplacement, he just didn't fit in. Buddy, in head to toe elf suit, travels to New York in search of his real biological father, which happens to be businessman Walter Hobbs (James Caan). Along the way he meets a love interest (Zooey Deschanel), Hobbs family and other joyful (and not so joyful) people.
I love this film for two things. One being the fact that it is really funny and will definitely get you in the festive spirit of Christmas. The other because the cast is fab. I'm not going to lie, I am not a big fan of Will Ferrell in the sense that sometimes I don't find him funny when he has to be or something like that. However him in this film is just hilarious. He suits the character Buddy to a T. His gestures, face expressions, his movements, they are just spot on. Zooey, who plays Buddy's love interest, is so cute in this. I love her as an actress so she was fantastic as this and when she sings it is just lovely.
Elf is a perfect family film were laughter can be heard throughout. It is perfect just to relax to with a hot chocolate, a blanket over you with the Christmas tree all lit up.
Well there you go, a small film review but definitely go and see Elf!
